Night Journey Project -
Book Release & Upcoming Exhibition

Night Journey uses the shadow as a metaphor to examine the perceptual and psychological aspects of the dream-state and provides pictorial access to the unconscious. The project has unfolded through six solo exhibitions and includes a room-size installation of works on fabric, single works on paper, sound, video projection, and works presented as triptychs. Forthcoming Book:
The Night Journey monograph, published by MW Editions (Fall 2026), brings together nearly 100 black-and-white photographs made over more than two decades, beginning in 2000. Organized into seven chapters, the book traces the evolution of the project from its origins in dream exploration and sleep-lab research through its many forms and manifestations.

Essays by Deborah Willis with Mecca Brooks, and Trudy Wilner Stack
